macOS Virtualization
Project Context
Driven by curiosity and a desire to explore macOS without owning Apple hardware, I embarked on a project to virtualize macOS on my computer equipped with a modern AMD processor. This undertaking proved to be complex, as AMD processors are not natively compatible with macOS, requiring specific adjustments and configurations.
Challenges Encountered
Processor Compatibility : AMD processors, particularly recent models, are not officially supported by macOS, making virtualization a challenging task.
Limited Resources : Most online guides primarily focus on Intel processors, requiring extensive research and adaptations to tailor the methods for AMD-specific configurations.
Approach and Solutions
After extensive research across various forums, videos, and GitHub repositories, I compiled effective solutions and steps into a dedicated GitHub repository. This repository aims to centralize the resources and procedures required to virtualize macOS on a machine with an AMD processor, making the process more accessible to others facing similar challenges.
Conclusion
This project allowed me to explore the macOS ecosystem and gain skills in virtualization and troubleshooting hardware compatibility issues. By sharing my experience and the solutions I discovered, I hope to assist other enthusiasts in discovering macOS on similar configurations.
